Green Stained Glass Mosaic Vase

greenvase4.jpgThis was a fun project, for a couple of reasons. One, the base I used (a square glass vase) was ready to go and didn’t need any prep work (i.e., sealing, painting, etc.), and two, it’s actually more than decorative. It’s a small vase so it’s perfect for holding pens, paintbrushes, small flowers (you get the idea).

I used glass beads for the top and bottom borders, and triangular shaped stained glass and mirror for the spaces in between. I used white grout to offset the green glass and mirrors, and sealed the grout afterwards to prevent staining or absorption of moisture.

Sometimes randomly placed shapes and colors can be the way to go, as I don’t always plan out every step of a project. This time, it worked.
